File Transfer

To send a file

  1. Choose the contact to whom you want to send the file by doing one of the following:
    • In the Microsoft Office Communicator window, right-click the name of an online contact, click More, and then click Send a File.
    • In the Conversation window on the Actions menu, click Send a File.
  2. In the Send a File dialog box, click the file that you want to send, and then click Open.

The request to transfer the file is immediately sent, and you are notified when it is accepted by the recipient. You can click Cancel to stop the file transfer at any time.
